Last night I got restless and gave Avery a kiss, the nurse a head's up and took off for Toledo for a night. It was great to be back home to be with my family and sleep in my bed again, even if it was for a bit. Zachery even woke up in the middle of the night and cried, then came in bed with us.
Avery is doing well. She has been sprinting and her stats look good, so that means she could come off the vent tomorrow!! They slowed her feeding down to prevent her from spitting up (like babies don't spit up :) ). I do appreciate all the fine care she is getting here.
I was in the business office here and before I left, I asked (just for fun) what Avery's bill was so far. I won't write it, you can ask us later. I'll just say, thank goodness for insurance!!! We are blessed to have signed up for the type of insurance we do have.
My friend, Tanya came to visit last week and she took some pictures of Avery and has compiled another slideshow! This was the day Avery went to Moderate Care, so it's before she was intubated again. Thanks, Tanya!

Glad to hear things are going okay. It is hard to leave our little ones, but it is good for us to have a break once in awhile. Keep posting. It is good to see how things are going.
