Avery was moved to a Moderate Care room today! That means she is on the pathway home. We don't know how fast or when, but it's still good news. She looked good today and I helped give her a bath (through her silent screams) and attempted giving her a bottle, but by then she was so tuckered out, we went through her tube to feed.
My mom and Zachery have been up here for a couple of days and it's been nice to spend time with both of them (work with Zach, but nice nonetheless). :)
I now have to learn how to care for Avery at home!!! The nurses will teach me what to do. I feel like I'm under pressure, like one false move and something bad could happen. I am no nurse, but my sister in law, Somer learned so much with her daughter, Maisy, that it gives me hope I can do it too. At home I'll probably feed her, at least sometimes, through a tube in her nose, put that said tube in her nose to her stomach, give her meds, and care for the little sugar like the sweet baby she is.
Zachery warmed up a little more to Avery; he let me hold her hand.
