Bottle Blues

Avery's doctor for the day came in and said she'd be discharged to Moderate Care tomorrow. I prayed last night that whatever was best for Avery's care, that the doctors would know and she'd be alright. Although I'll be a bit apprehensive, this is moving the right direction. :)

Today we started working with a bottle and she managed to get in about 5, sometimes 10 cc's in, over 10-15 minutes. The rest went in her tube. The last time I was attempting to feed her, her eyes rolled back and I knew she was done trying. I'm hoping very hard that she does get the hang of it and swallows the milk without panicking. I love food, hopefully she'll love getting in her mouth soon.

Mom and I both took little naps today. Mom was in a rocker in Avery's room and was out until a nurse called out for help and my mom jumped up and tried to go out in the hall to help. :) They didn't need her. :)

Thanks for the advice. I don't know what's ahead for us, but here we go.
