It's Monday morning and the sun is shining! Who doesn't love that?

Eric, Zach and I had a nice time together this weekend. Zachery loves the playroom with the train table and I think he really comes (not that he has a choice) to play with the trains. :) Zachery did say he was "so glad to see you, Mommy". Eric got to spend some quality time with Avery and has posted some photos of her (thank you, Eric!). She is a darling!

They have been suctioning her lungs about every hour. Her lung saturation level gets low and then she starts to get red and cries until they're done suctioning. Sooo, this morning the nurse calls me and said (first, not to panic) right, they had taken an x-ray and she had a pleural effusion (fluid around her lungs) and so they put in a "test tube" and about 40 cc's shot out onto her bed of fluid. There is a tube there now to drain more fluid. The nurse said this should fix her fluid problems. Hopefully no more suctioning. I also asked if they gave her more morphine and :) they did. Poor Avy. She's getting more lasix to help her get rid of more fluid too. Other than that, tudo bem (it's all good).

My mom isn't feeling well. She has a mean sore throat. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. She's been a huge help with Zachery!

Zachery got a 25 piece puzzle last week and put it all together - by himself! That was awesome! Way to go Zach.
