Hoping for a House!

To date, we have put 3 offers in on a home here in Toledo. Due to the banker (the owner's are trying to avoid a foreclosure) and other delays, the realtor is submitting our offer AND another offer into the bank for aproval. This isn't good, but we HOPE we get it, despite their semi-incompetent relator and a bank that only cares about the numbers. AHHH, we want the house!!

On a more serious note, less than 3 weeks to go til Avery arives! Yikes/yay.

Avery's Diagnosis

I went up to Univ. of Michigan this week and met with some doctors, including an excellent pediatric heart surgeon, Dr. Bove. All in all, things are looking as good as can be expected. Avery is due to be delivered by c-section on Feb. 19th at U of M.

They did get an official diagnosis of "double inlet left ventricle". With this defect, both atriums (upper chambers) are connected to the left ventricle (lower chamber).


The surgeon did say that she would be at the hospital for about a month and should be able to come home with only medication. :) That's good news.

Another fun tidbit of info, totally unrelated to this is....we put an offer on a home here in Toledo! The current owners are trying to avoid a foreclosure and so we're dealing with a bank. That means it will take awhile to hear back if they've even accepted our offer. We're optimistic that we will "someday" get it, we have no idea when.
