2 1/2 weeks

Avery is doing better. Her labs are looking good. She is still getting really upset and is difficult to settle down. She's still on the CPAP machine and lots of suctioning, percussing (tapping on her lung), vibrating her lung.

We had both grandma's and Zachery come to visit. Zach was in with Avery 2-3 minutes when he asked to go play with the toys. He bolted for the door and a nurse shut it to help keep him in. :) Such brotherly love.

Grandpa Marks came up and had dinner with us at the Ronald McDonald House and then we went up to see Avery. He helped me try to calm her down. Sometimes it's hard being 2 1/2 weeks old.

It was so nice to spend time with Zachery. :) I'm going to send a shout out to Eric for working hard back in Toledo and bailing out my mom these past couple of days. :) Funny story, my mom locked her keys in the car and the day before she went downstairs at our apt. and the door locked behind her with Zach in there :). No harm, no foul. :) We're so grateful for Christie's help with Zachery!

Great day overall! A new episode of Lost (which Eric taped for me). thanks

A note on the calming down. Maisy loved when I sang to her and sometimes she was just bored. We made her a makeshift mobile with link rings and toys. We also clipped on pictures the girls colored and family photos. Sometimes they forget she is a baby first. So fun when they wean the morphine!

Contact child life services. Oh, and if you think Avery hurts ask if she can have some tylenol.

Well, it's clear why she was upset...she didn't get to watch the new episode of LOST!!! :)
