Monday, Monday, da da, da da da da (from the Mamas and the Papas).
Avery still has some thick junk in her lungs that seems to be hard for her to get it all out just by coughing. The good news is, is they took her off oxygen! One less thing. We still are checking her oxygen level because she has been a little low today (because of the thick junk). blah, blah, blah, not a big deal.
She is happy (except when in pain) and enjoyed playing today.
1- Her CO2 level is down to normal. That's great.
2 - Her little wounds are healing well. :)
3 - One of her chest tubes is hardly draining anything, so I'm going to push for removal tomorrow. Wish us luck. I talked to a lady today whose daughter was being discharged. Her girl had been waiting a month just on the chest tubes to stop draining, and she had the kilus thing-y. Hope, hope, hope.
JHACO (or something near to that) is at the hospital doing a check to see if they're following all the regulations. That means the hallways are clear, management is stressed and they made Avery get the full cage on her bed. It looks like she's in a circus cage. She cried and was reaching out to me when they were raising the sides and putting the top on. The nurse almost let me sign a waiver so I wouldn't have to keep it on, but no. Ave doesn't try to climb out of her crib at home, so why would she here. Don't give me the reasons, because they already did. :) It doesn't really matter.
Avery had 2 great nurses today and that's always a great thing.
