Saturday is a Special Day

Today has been a true Saturday, as I remember it as a kid. Chores first, then play.

We put a bookshelf up in Zach's room and he kept saying to me, "Oh mom, you did it, oh thank you!". :)

Eric is still trying to seal up our front door. We get a draft around the door and he put up a seal around the edges, just to find out the door wouldn't shut. He's back at Lowe's right now.

We have a list of things needing to be done for the house, and after we've done one, there seems to be a new one, so the list remains the same size. Ahhhh, the joys. Don't get me wrong, I love being in a house.

We, as in I, had a flat tire issues this week. I was driving around with Eric's grandma and complained about it. A minute later I saw someone waiting for the bus with grocery bags in his hands. I am very thankful for a car. that was a nice reminder for me.

I guess if we all had houses that magically maintained themselves, we'd be lazy ignoramous's regarding house care. Thankfully we have things and sometimes they need care, so we can learn to care for our blessings and appreciate them more.

I'm loving the warmer weekend, 51 degrees. Let it be!

even though we bought a new house, I feel like I'm always coming up with lists. But then I lack the motivation to do anything. Now 2 and 1/2 years later I've getting motivated to make my house look new again. So I did start a painting project for the entire house. We are taped and I've started painting. I"ll post if/when it gets completed.
