I have to add that it started at 7 am and the other two nuts (Steve and J) got up at 5:40 and wanted to leave at 6! I woke up when I heard them in the kitchen and hurried in to make sure they wouldn't leave me. I said they were crazy and I could have slept another 20 minutes. I don't like waiting around, maybe that's why I'm often late.
Anyhoo, good times!
Warming up. Gary's wife, Emmalee and another brother, Evan, came to support us and take photos! Their camera's are way superior to ours.
Great smile, Dean (formerly known as Gary)
Enjoying the delish bagels, and waiting for a free back massage.
The race was good for me. My goal was not to walk, but at mile 4 I did and then started running again. I kept doing that and it turned out great for me.
My calves killed right afterward, but it was the rest of my legs that made me feel old and creaky for the next two days. ;) It does make you feel great afterwards, on the inside. Good for the soul!
