Heart Ladies

I haven't been in the blogging mood, again, but feeling the need to do it.  Is that the same thing?

Eric's mom had a triple bypass heart surgery last week.  Unexpected, but she is a real trooper and making good progress, in a long recovery.
This was taken the day before her surgery.  Our heart ladies!

Zach-man is a busy, busy 5 year old.  He is coming up with all these plans lately.  The other day he told his teacher that he was going swimming that day and then to the beach the next.  When his teacher told me, I looked at him and he had this big, hopeful smile on his face. :)  Once a week he plans on camping.  His last day of school is tomorrow, so I'm planning on taking him swimming a lot, to beat this muggy heat.

The mosquitoes are swarming in the evening.  The weather is perfect by then and the vile bugs come at me for my blood.  I grabbed Avery, called to Zach and ran inside.  I hate mosquitoes more than spiders.  what is the plant  that is supposed to ward them off?

Summer time, summer time, sum-sum summer time!

I learned at Swan Creek (on a ranger-guided nature walk) that bats eat thousands of mosquitoes every night. They had some kind of bathouse plan people could build and put in their backyard. I thought it sounded genius.

SO glad your mother in law is doing well. If you ever need me to watch your kids so you can go help her please don't hesitate to call me. I too hate mosquitos with a passion. Emilee I remember them telling us that at Swan Creek. That was at a time when the mosquitos seemed unbearable and I was definitely tempted to build such a box.

Basil is great for mosquitos! Plants by your windows or doors will keep them out. When outside, rub some leaves on your skin - natural and very effective. I must know. I am deadly allergic to them, so i know all the tricks.

Good to know about basil, the mosquitos are legendary here too, I hate it when I'm swimming in the evenings and have to keep submergend so I don't have to be eaten alive. I hope your MIL is doing good. I have been so lame about my blog, but I think I'm goign to be back on track, it's such a nice way to get my thoughts out, instead ofjust sound bytes on facebook
