Butterfly House and Other Notes

A couple of Saturdays ago, our local Butterfly House released all their butterflies. I have wanted to go for several years and finally made it this year! It was better than I expected.

Here is Zach saying, rather loudly, hello to the butterflies. I told him they have tiny ears and we don't need to shout.

Here is a mini-pumpkin maze for the kids. Zach loved it.

Avery tried to pick up the pumpkins, but never succeeded.

They had reptiles and several snakes we could hold, but I chickened out. This lady is a true friend to the snakes.

Zachery loved running around and seeing all they had. There was a cornfield maze, tunnel slide, photo ops all over. I'm glad we went, and good flight south to the butterflies.

On another note:
We feeling much better at our house, except Eric may be coming down with something. I got the flu and felt horrid for a few days and tried to keep it from the kids, but they got it too. After being home for about 10 days, I am READY to get out and rejoin the world.

And an entirely different note:
One of my top favorite quotes regarding the prophet Joseph Smith is that made by Brigham Young, when he said of Joseph, "I feel like shouting, hallelujah, all the time, when I think that I ever knew Joseph Smith, the Prophet." I can't think of this without being moved, or wanting to shout too (but I haven't). What kind of a person was he if this was said of him?

Today I was reading through my first lesson for next week and the first quote happened to be this one. Yay for me.

I've heard such good things about the butterfly release but I never made it there. Sounds fun. It looks like Avery has gotten pretty good at walking. :) Miss ya
